Maddie Goes to College!

We started the day at 4:30! It was actually a very good idea. We got her in and moved in before some people were even there. That gave her some time to get her job stuff taken care of, get her student ID, set up her room, and find where her classes were.

Thank heavens for AJ. You should've seen his first load. He had FOUR boxes. Haha!

She was grateful for her sister and hopefully her mom for helping her get things unpacked and organized.

The three of us went with her to her new job at the library. It looks awesome!! I am so excited for her!

Here she is pointing at her apartment.

She did not want to go along with my plans of taking a billion pictures.

She sort of did anyway.

Audrey got some good pics of AJ and I with her.

The boys were thrilled.

Spencer has been SO sad. It breaks my heart!

I made her point to her name. Haha. Notice the excitement on her face.

Maddie was cute and bought the boys gifts.

Then it was time for lunch with my parents and Lacey and Landon. Grandpa took the kids for a spin in the side by side.

Lacey and Jay came over to see her new place!

Then it was time for last goodbyes. It was awful!!! I know she will do great things. I am excited for her. I am proud of who she is becoming. I'm just going to miss the crap out of her!!!

Maddie's Last Week Before She's A Big College Student!

The week started with her last day of her job at Maverik. She was sad. She has loved working there and her boss and coworkers.

They got her a cake, too!

We let her choose what fast food place to go to since there aren't many of those where she'll be going! She chose Chick-Fil-A.

Her true last day was spent school shopping. We also took the kids out to Benihana. We thought it would be something fun to do together. We had a good time.

These next few pictures crack me up! The way Audrey's looking at Maddie cracks me up.

When we got home, cute Rebecca had left these on our porch.

Then it was time for a lot of goodbyes and it was horrible and so hard!!! We are so excited for her, but it will change and we are not ready for that part!

July Randomness

I started training to be a census enumerator in July.

Maddie and I enjoyed our oil changes! We had fun peeling her sunburned skin.

This was Verne's response when AJ asked him if Maddie could drive her car home from camping without a muffler. We laughed so hard!

We had a hammock city!

My friend Amy Ayeres gave me this home sacrament tray for my birthday. I love it!

Maddie and Rhett were being so cute looking out the window one day.

Audrey and I got lunch one day and took some to AJ as well.

We've had some spectacular sunsets!

We fell in love with hammocking this summer!!

Another week, another grocery drop and long distanced lunch date with my Mom.

We met my mom at the Costco in Spanish Fork. So after we met her, I took the kids on a tour (they were thrilled. Audrey was a good sport, but not the boys!) This was where I taught! The original school I taught at before we moved into this new one was torn down and turned into condos.

This was my Grandma Kjar's elementary school when she was little (well one of them.) It is in Provo. So fun to picture her there as a little girl.

This was our apartment we lived in when we lived in Provo.

Awe. Cute Maddie and Rhett.
